Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how the Monthd iOS app and the Monthd website handle information. Monthd is built as an on-device utility. We do not operate a user account system or a server that receives the item information you enter into the app.

Information stored in Monthd

To provide its calculations, Monthd stores information that you choose to enter, such as:

• Item names and purchase prices
• Expected ownership or usage periods
• Usage frequency and progress
• Optional extra, maintenance, or recurring costs
• Archive and other item status information

This information is processed and stored locally on your device for the purpose of calculating monthly, daily, hourly, and usage-based costs. It is not transmitted to or accessible by Monthd’s developer during normal app operation.

Information we do not collect

Monthd does not collect:

• Your name, email address, phone number, or other contact details
• Account credentials, because Monthd has no account system
• Precise or approximate location
• Contacts, photos, health information, or financial account details
• Device identifiers for advertising or cross-app tracking
• App usage analytics through third-party analytics services

Monthd contains no advertising and does not use third-party advertising, analytics, or tracking SDKs.

This website

The Monthd website is a static informational site. It does not contain account forms, cookies, analytics, advertising, tracking pixels, or behavioral profiling tools.

The hosting provider used to deliver the site may process limited technical request information, such as an IP address or browser details, for security and reliable delivery. Any such processing is performed by the hosting provider under its own terms and is not used by Monthd to identify or profile visitors.

Sharing and selling

Monthd does not sell, rent, or share your app data with advertisers, data brokers, analytics providers, or other third parties. Because the developer does not receive your item information, there is no developer-held item data to disclose to third parties.

Apple independently processes information related to App Store downloads, purchases, and platform services under Apple’s own privacy terms.

iCloud and device backups

If you enable iCloud Backup or another Apple backup feature, iOS may include Monthd’s locally stored app data in a device backup. This is an operating-system feature controlled through your Apple Account and device settings. Monthd’s developer does not receive or control those backups.

Retention and deletion

Your item information remains on your device until you delete the relevant item in Monthd or use iOS’s “Delete App” action. Archiving an item keeps it stored in the app; it does not delete it.

Using “Delete App” removes Monthd’s locally stored data from the device. Copies that may exist in an Apple-managed device backup are retained and deleted according to your Apple backup settings and Apple’s policies.

Monthd has no server-side user account or item database, so there is no developer-held account or item data that requires a separate deletion request.

Security

Keeping your information on your device reduces the amount of data exposed to external systems. Monthd relies on the security protections provided by iOS and your device. No method of storage is completely risk-free, so you should protect your device with a passcode and keep iOS up to date.

Children’s privacy

Monthd does not knowingly collect personal information from children or from any other users. The app does not include accounts, social features, advertising, or targeted content.

Changes to this policy

If Monthd’s data practices or features change, this policy will be updated before those changes take effect. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will identify the latest version.
